PCH EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION

CARING KIND AWARD:
Each year, all Nebraska Association of Hospital and Health Systems (NAHHS) hospitals are given the opportunity to nominate one employee that stands out among the staff. Caring Kind recipients exemplify the teamwork, dedication and spirit that create a positive work environment and enhance patient care.

The award is presented during the Caring Kind Lucheon at the Nebraska Hospital Association (NHA) Annual Convention in Omaha, NE. The Caring Kind Luncheon is always one of the most anticipated events of the year as the NHA recognize one employee from each NHA member hospital who exemplifies the "care" that goes into healthcare.

The 2010 Caring Kind Recipient is DIANE JOHNSON

EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH:
Pender Community Hospital adopted a Service Care Program to develop and establish standards of service for employees to follow on a daily basis for patients, guests, and physicians as well as co-workers. The goal is to function as a team and get every employee to focus on how we can serve each other better by applying the Seven Standards of Service Care

The Service Care Employee of the Month is a peer recognition program that singles out individuals who "go the extra mile" to provide excellence in service care. Staff members recognize co-workers for service excellence by nominating them as the "Employee of the Month". At the end of each month, the Employee Recognition Committee selects one of the individuals as "Employee of the Month".
