People that have had bowel or bladder surgery and now have an external means of getting rid of waste from the body, should be aware that Ostomy Services are now available at the Pender Community Hospital. Jan Harrison, CWONCN can educate and assist patients, caregivers, and family members to better understand the function of the ostomy and how to care for it. Whether you have a permanent or temporary ostomy, the Pender Community Hospital WOC department is looking for interest in starting a clinic and Ostomy Support Group in Northeast Nebraska. Please call Jan or Nicole at (402)385-4092 to express your interest, you do not have to be alone. More information will follow if there is enough interest shown. Foot and Nail Care Clinics Jan Harrison, CWONCN, and Certified Foot and Nail Care Nurse along with Joan Fillipi, Foot and Nail Care Nurse are offering Foot and Nail Care at many of the area Senior Centers. This service is offered at $10.00 per person. The following is a list of the area Centers and the upcoming dates the Nurses will be there:
