Prairie Breeze Building Updates

August 5, 2008
Rain, rain, rain and more rain. With all the rain this spring, building has progressed at a snails pace. We are about seven weeks behind. The builders had to bring in several loads of dirt over a temporary culvert to help the building area to dry.

EAD Constructors started on a permanent concrete culvert to span the drainage canal in front of the building sight. They felt the moisture at the sight was too wet to start the main building, so they started with the garage. They began by pouring the garage footings, and then built that structure waiting for the ground to dry. They also built a lift station at the sight at this time.

EAD Constructors pre-built all the walls for the assisted living structure and stacked them waiting for Prairie Breeze building footings to be poured and the concrete floor to be laid. Once that was completed, it would not take long at all to erect the walls. The concrete driveway and parking lot should be done shortly.

The Prairie Breeze walls are up and the garage is finished. The roof will be the next to complete hopefully this week, then the electrical contractor can start running all wiring.
