 The Pender Community Hospital District, in coordination with the Pender Care Centre, has started construction of the 16-apartment assisted living center "Prairie Breeze". The units will be 402 square feet, which will include a living room, kitchenette, bedroom, and bathroom. Garages will also be available to the assisted living residents. Plans include 24-hour staffing, an exercise and recreation room, family dining room, and spa room with whirlpool along with many other amenities.
