Foundation Member Retires

Norman Christiansen has retired from the Pender Community Hospital Foundation after serving 12 years with the organization. Norman has been a member of the Foundation since it was formed in 1991 until he retired in March.

During his time with the foundation many changes have come about which included the purchase of the Medical Clinic in Pender and acquiring a new Clinic in Emerson. The Foundation has also helped with the extensive fund-raising effort that resulted in the major addition being built onto the hospital.

Norman served as officer in many positions including that of the chairman.

With the retirement of Norman Christiansen, Syd Kruse and Al Maul are the only original board members left on the committee. The other original committee consisted of Darrel Merry, Connie Bargmann, Walter Albrecht, Larry Wingett, William Biles Jr., and Norvin Hansen.

Thank you Norman and all the committee members previous and present for you time and your dedication for making a great contribution to this organization and the projects you spent so much time on.
