"Ding-a-ling" Krystal Bell Players

The Ding-a-lings rang their first bells and began practicing in September of 2004. Jane Jacobsen, the Activities Director, stated she thought this would be an activity where people could be involved and have a purpose for living, entertaining others.

The bells and ringers made their debut performance on December 22, 2004 during KTIV's Tree Of Love with the song "Go Tell It On The Mountain". The original name of the group was the Jolly Jinglers. The residents decided they needed a name to correlate with all seasons. So in April 2005 they became known as The Ding-a-lings

The method the ringers use is called the Krystal Bell Method. The bells are colored coordinated with flash cards. The director keeps the beat to the music and an accompanying tape is played. Together they make beautiful harmony.

The Ding-a-lings consist of Director - Jane Jacobsen, Bell Ringers; Residents - Harry Schoch, Ken Simonson, Lucille Darnell, Dorothea Zvacek, Connie Burger, RoseAnn Christiansen, Ann Wingett, Lamars and Irene Clark, Staff - Kathy Zeitler, Nancy Gatzemeyer, Patsy Cuhdomelka, and Angel Henderson.

As the staff and residents practice, the cheerful chiming of the bells can be heard echoing throughout the halls of the Care Centre most Thursday mornings at 10:00 am.
Please feel free to stop by and listen even during practice. We love the audience.
