NEW RESUSCITATION EQUIPMENT

Pender Community Hospital has recently invested in resuscitation equipment that assists the medical staff to deliver effective treatment to the patient.

Three new ZOLL defibrillators, with the latest heart monitoring technology, have been purchased to replace the current ones. They were purchased in coordination with the local rescue unit. By having similar equipment the accessories are compatible and can be used both in the ambulance and when the patient arrives at the hospital.

This system has a non-invasive life-saving feature on the screen that indicates to the medical staff if CPR is being delivered at the optimal level to provide adequate blood flow. The person performing CPR can adjust the how fast or how deep they need to deliver chest compressions.

Pender Community Hospital continues to advance to meet the community's needs by providing the best care to those we serve.
