Bake Time
Some residents will help measure ingredients, some will pour ingredients into the bowl, some will be able to mix, some will be able to spread ingredients into the pan. Most will be able to enjoy the treats when they are baked. All will be able to enjoy the aroma of the ingredients. This is a sensory exercise where smell, touch, and tasting are involved.

Coffee Break
Following the afternoon activities soft serve ice cream or another treat is served to all residents attending an activity.

Crafts
A new and fun craft is designed each month. In the past we have made visors that are used when we go outside for exercise walks, to the fair, etc. We have made door signs for nearly every month, giving each resident a decoration for their door appropriate to that month. We have also made decorations for the "tree of the month" in the dining room.

Dice Game
This is a game wherein the residents add, subtract, multiply, divide the numbers that are rolled on the dice.

Gog Days
We will discuss the "Dog Days of Summer" and enjoy a visit from the canine pets.

Fishing Game
The residents fish for little fish, and other water creatures with small poles having a magnet on the end. The fish also have magnets. When a fish is caught the resident answers a trivia question. If the answer is correct they may keep the fish for points. If the answer is incorrect they must throw the fish back and try again. At the end, the one with the most fish is the winner.

Green Thumb
If the weather cooperates residents and the activities director spend Friday afternoons taking care of planting, watering, weeding and fertilizing flowers.

Horse Racing
The residents play a horse racing game where horses are advanced on a board as the numbers are rolled on the dice. The winner receives the pot, which may consist of .50 cents more or less.

Krystal Bells
The Krystal Bell Method is colored coordinated bells used with flash cards. The director keeps the beat to the music and an accompanying tape is played.

The residents and staff practice Thursday mornings at 10:00 am. Please feel free to stop by and listen. They love to practice with a live audience.

Social Hour
Any resident who wishes to, can play cards, visit, play checkers or any other board game, or watch a video.
