Benson, Chairman; Wm H. Hoppner, Secretary; R.R. Smith, Vice-Chairman; W.F. Wenke, Treasurer; Carl Wichman, John Hilker, Claus Malmberg, Herman Westerhold and Wallis Malmberg, Trustees. The cost of the hospital was $320,990.20. $153,154.31 was from Hill-Burton Fund (Federal) and the residents of Pender and the surrounding communities donated the balance of $167,154.31. Over 1,200 individuals contributed toward the goal of the new hospital. (Listing of those contributors will be available at a later date.)
